Adaptive IT joins The Chick Mission for the launch of the Chick Road Trip

At 9:00 this morning, in a parking lot on the Atlantic Highlands waterfront in New Jersey, a bright-white camper wrapped in a giant yellow chick, hopeful stats, and the words spread hope rolled to a stop against the backdrop of the marina. This is the Chick Road TripThe Chick Mission‘s six-week, 26-state tour to bring awareness (and real financial help) to young women who are told, in the same breath as a cancer diagnosis, that starting a family later may no longer be theirs to plan.

Adaptive IT was there this morning to help send them off — and to keep supporting a cause we’ve been quietly proud to back for years.

Why this matters

Every year in the United States, roughly 89,500 young adults are diagnosed with cancer. Many of the treatments that save their lives — chemotherapy, radiation, certain surgeries — can also, quietly, take away their ability to have biological children later. Fertility preservation exists. It works. A single IVF cycle, however, can cost around $20,000 out of pocket, and most insurance won’t cover it as part of a cancer plan. Fewer than half of physicians even bring it up before treatment starts.

That’s the gap The Chick Mission was built to close. Their Hope Grant Program has now supported 893 young women at more than 100 fertility clinics across the country, resulting in 9,858+ eggs frozen and roughly $12 million saved in out-of-pocket costs for patients and their families. In 2026 alone, they’ve already pledged $1.1 million in direct grants — twice their pace at this point last year.

“The idea that a cancer diagnosis can also quietly take a young woman’s chance at motherhood — because a fertility treatment gets denied or priced out of reach — is the kind of gap that shouldn’t exist. The Chick Mission closes it. That’s why we keep showing up.”

Meeting the “chick camper” in Atlantic Highlands

The launch stop was small on purpose — a handful of Chick Mission “peeps” (that’s what their team and supporters call themselves), yellow pom-poms in hand, the marina behind them, the American flag flying above the trailer. Over the next six weeks the camper will criss-cross 26 states, popping up at events, meeting supporters, and pointing everyone it meets toward one URL painted right on the back panel: chickroadtrip.com.

The back of the camper doubles as the roadmap: 26 states in six weeks, one URL to remember — chickroadtrip.com.

How Adaptive IT got involved

Our support for The Chick Mission didn’t start this morning. Over the last several years Adaptive IT has been a repeat contributor at their fundraising galas and charity golf outings — the kind of quiet, year-in-year-out backing that keeps a small nonprofit’s Hope Grant Program funded between the headline events. Showing up at the road-trip launch was the natural next step: fewer speeches, more pom-poms, and a chance to help kick off the tour in person.

It’s worth adding: The Chick Mission was just named the recipient of the IVI RMA Global Health Social Impact Award, and they’ve earned Candid’s 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency — the highest tier. If you’re the kind of business owner or donor who wants to know your money actually reaches the person it’s meant for, this is one of the cleanest small nonprofits we’ve come across.

How you can help

If any of this hit home — for you, someone in your family, someone on your team — there are two easy places to start:

  • Follow the road trip. Watch the camper’s route, catch a stop if it’s near you, and see who’s getting behind it: chickroadtrip.com.
  • Donate directly to the Hope Grant Program. Every dollar helps a young woman preserve her fertility before treatment starts: thechickmission.org/donate.

To the Chick Mission team and every “peep” we met this morning — thank you for the work you do. Adaptive IT will keep showing up.
